Klairs is one of my favourite Korean brands and it all started with the Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner! For that reason, even though most of you already know it, I decided to take a little time to talk about it.
Klairs is a cruelty free Korean brand that focuses on simple and necessary ingredients with no colorants, alcohol, parabens or artificial fragrances. It considers sensitive skin and work on a variety of products from cleansing, hydrating, calming, soothing, nourishing, firming, moisturising, etc.
As I said, Klairs Supple Preparation Facial Toner was the first product I tried from the brand and right now, I am in my second bottle. Scroll down to find why I love this product so much.
I tried the old version and loved it. Nevertheless, according to Wishtrend’s website, these are the main differences between the old and the new version.
– Polyquaternium-51 – a fourth generation moisturising agent with better capacity to retain moisture than beta-glucan.
– 6 Natural Fragrances – Lavender, eucalyptus, geranium, lemon, orange, ylang ylang and various natural oils that increase stability while decreasing irritation.
The toner claims to be a non-irritating toner that calms sensitive skin, hydrates and enhances hydration by maintaining the optimal pH balance.
The toner packaging has a classic Klairs apothecary look and I love it. Simple but very beautiful.

Sodium Hyaluronate: derived from hyaluronate acid, it’s easily absorbed for its smaller molecular size. Can hold up to 1000 times its weight in water
Centella Asiatica Extract: wound healing and calming. It is also rich in amino acids and improves the synthesis of collagen – helps to strengthen the skin natural barrier.
Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract: melanin inhibitor (brightening), anti-inflammatory, antioxidant.
Polyquaternium-51: moisturising agent that provides moisture retention.
Tocopheryl Acetate: vitamin E acetate, antioxidant.
Beta-Glucan: skin soothing that improves redness and has antioxidant properties.
Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract: aka Aloe Vera, soothing, antioxidant, hydrating and wound-healing.

The bottle is made of dark, solid plastic, and although I prefer a pump dispenser, the thick toner slides slowly and perfectly from the regular dispenser.
It has a very good and light herbal scent that fades quickly.
Regarding de consistency of the toner, it is thicker than water but lighter then the regular serum texture and once you pat it on the face, it absorbs pretty quickly, leaving no stickiness behind.
In fact, this toner is perfect for the 7 skin method because it does not leave the skin too sticky or oily.
Results: as you may have noticed, I love this toner, a lot! It is perfect to nourish and hydrate the skin after cleansing or actives. It helps calming down redness and irritation, helps to strengthen the skin natural barrier, leaving a very hydrating and comfortable feeling behind. Sometimes, when I feel my skin getting dehydrated during the day, or in need of a bit of glow, I reach for this product because it never fails to provide what my skin needs.
So, this is my favourite toner so far. I use it every morning and sometimes in the evenings. One, two, three layers, I can build up as much as I want because this never irritated my skin and always provides the goodness it needs.

A Klairs é uma das minhas marcas Coreanas preferidas e tudo começou com este Tónico Facial Klairs Supple Preparation. Assim, apesar de a maior parte já conhecer este produto, eu decidi tirar um tempinho para falar dele.
A Klais é uma marca cruelty-free, focada em ingredientes simples e necessários sem corantes, álcool, parabenos ou fragrâncias artificiais. Tem em conta peles sensíveis e trabalha com uma variedade de produtos desde limpeza, hidratação, calmantes, apaziguadores, nutritivos, firmantes, etc.
Como já mencionei, o Tónico Facial da Klairs foi o primeiro produto que experimentei da marca, e neste momento, já vou no segundo frasco. Continua a ler se queres saber porque gosto tanto deste produto.
Experimentei a versão antiga do tónico e adorei. No entanto, de acordo com o site da Wishtrend, estas são as diferenças entre a versão antiga e a nova:
– Polyquaternium-51 – um agente hidratante da quarta geração, com melhor capacidade para reter a humidade/hidratação do que o beta-glucano.
– 6 Fragrâncias Naturais – Lavanda, eucalipto, gerânio, limão, laranja, ylang ylang e vários óleos naturais que aumentam a estabilidade enquanto diminuem a probabilidade de irritação da pele.
Sendo um tónico não irritante, promete apaziguar a pele sensível, hidratar e reforçar a hidratação, mantendo um balanço óptimo do pH.
A embalagem tem a clássica imagem apotecária da Klairs e eu adoro. Simples mas muito bonita.

Hialuronato de Sódio: um derivado do ácido hialurónico, é facilmente absorvido pelo seu tamanho molecular mais pequeno. Consegue suportar até 1000 vezes o seu tamanho em água.
Extrato de Centella Asiática: calmante e ajuda na cura/cicatrização de feridas. Também é rico em aminoácidos e fomenta a síntese de colagénio – ajuda a fortalecer a barreira natural da pele.

O frasco é feito de um plástico duro e escuro, e embora eu prefira um doseador, o tónico escorrega perfeita e vagarosamente do dispensador.
Tem uma fragrância herbal leve e muito agradável que desaparece rapidamente.
Relativamente à consistência do tónico, é mais espessa que água mas menos espessa que a textura normal dos serums. Uma vez aplicado na face, é absorvido imediatamente, sem deixar a pele pegajosa.
De facto, este tónico é perfeito para a técnica coreana “7 skin method” por não deixar a pele pegajosa nem oleosa.
Resultados: como já devem ter reparado, eu amo este tónico, muito! É perfeito para nutrir e hidratar a pele depois da limpeza ou depois dos produtos que funcionam melhor em ambientes com PHs mais ácidos. Ajuda a acalmar as vermelhidões e irritações, a fortalecer a barreira natural da pele, enquanto deixa uma sensação muito hidratante e confortável. Por vezes, quando sinto a minha pele mais desidratada durante o dia, ou a precisar daquele brilho, ponho um pouco deste tónico porque nunca falha em proporcionar o que a minha pele precisa.
Portanto, até agora, este é o meu tónico preferido. Utilizo-o todas as manhãs e às vezes à noite. Uma, duas, três camadas, posso acumular porque nunca me causou nenhuma irritação e dá-me ingredientes bons e necessários à pele.
